General Questions

No, it is totally optional for you to create an account with us. :) You do not have to create an account to make a purchase.

However, we would recommend you to create an account with us if you would like to return for more purchases. ^^ It allows you to track your purchases.

Payment-related

At the moment, we only accept AMEX, Mastercard, VISA, Google Pay, Apple Pay and PayPal*.


This has happened numerous times with a lot of our customers, mostly our Canadian customers, whereby hanasakushop only received one payment from PayPal, but PayPal charged our customers twice.

Hanasakushop has contacted PayPal to ask about this issue numerous times too but they couldn't give us an answer. So unfortunately, we have no idea why this happens.

But for all of the cases this has occurred, PayPal has automatically refunded the excess charge back to our customers within the next few days. We're guessing that this could be a bug on PayPal's side.

If it is possible, hanasakushop strongly advises our customers, in particular, our Canadian customers, to check out using other payment methods if you want to prevent this from happening.

If this happens to you, kindly wait a few days to see if PayPal refunds you the excess amount they have charged you. (They usually will.)

If they don't, kindly contact us (via Twitter DM or email) and we will try to contact PayPal to help you get your money back. This might take some time though, due to the very tedious process of getting in contact with PayPal's customer service :(((

Preorder or Box Split related.

Preorders 

Preorders are items that have yet to be released in their country of origin (usually in Japan).

At hanasakushop, the full item fee has to be paid for preorders to secure your order.

And in any case if we were not able to procure the items, this amount will be fully refunded.

The release dates of preorder merchandise along with an estimated arrival date in SG (hanasakushop's hometown) would always be listed in the description of the preorder listing.

We will ship out your items within 3 working days after receiving your payment for shipping.

This would mean that the pre-ordered item(s) and the in-stock item(s) that you have purchased will be part of the same order and will be shipped out together only after the preorder items are released in Japan and have reached our end. 

Alternatively, if you wish for the in-stock item(s) you have purchased to be mailed to you first, kindly send us an email with your order number. However, do note that additional shipping fees would apply as your order would have to be split into separate shipments.  

It is due to the fact that we were unable to procure the items.

Do not worry about such cases as we would always make sure to send out an email notification to inform you about this if it happens.

Full refund of the amount you've paid previously for the cancelled preorder will also be refunded to you.

Product-related

Some of the goods we sell are pre-loved, while some are brand new.

We will always include the item's condition; whether it is new or pre-loved, in the product's description. Do look out for it! :))

Price of similar items can differ with 2 reasons:

There are scratches or stains at the back of the item, that is why it might be cheaper in comparison to other similar goods that are in perfect condition.

Also, you don't have to worry of getting the ones with scratches on accident. We will always put up an extra photo for you to examine the item's condition if we deem it to be even slightly damaged. We will also mention about the item's condition in the product description.

Certain characters depicted in the merchandise is of extreme high popularity in comparison to other characters in the same merchandise line-up. In this case, we would price the items based on the characters' popularity and demand.

Shipping related

We sincerely apologise if your shipment takes longer that usual to reach you. To cut cost on shipping for our customers, we're using Singapore Post to mail your items to you. Using this shipping method, sometimes, parcels may get held at the customs or your local post office for certain checks before they send it to you, which causes the delays :(

Why not offer other shipping methods?
As we're a small online store, we can't get a promotional rate for shipping with the major freight companies such as DHL, Fedex, UPS and the likes unfortunately. With that, shipping costs would be crazy high and thus not feasible for us to offer them to our customers.

Some countries' post office do not provide tracking for International Registered Small Packets. That is why tracking stops once the parcel reaches the destination post.
